Newbie Bladesmith, obsessed about chef knives.

  1. Hi all,

I'm new here but wanted to share some of my recent work, I have only been forging for a year now and it has been an obsessive battle but one I absolutely love. I love Japanese forging techniques and taught myself from the ground up, wet forging right through to clay coating hamons. I've recently become addicted to stabilising and pressure casting unusual materials like driftwood and pinecones to make unique handles., I also love hammering coins into Mokume gane ingots and putting them on my handles.
Here's a few of my pieces, I will post more as and when I make them.

As an ex chef I love making knives I would have wanted to own in the kitchen and I strive to keep doing that, it's just a hobby but one day I'd like to sell the odd piece.

  2. I saw some of your pics on another forum, but it's cool to see these pics all together! Very nice work!!!

Really sharp looking and looks better than many other knives I've seen sell online... :cool1

I really like the different handle materials and that apple slicer does it for me
