Seems like pretty nice stuff. Sorry for making you work with boring plastic. :)

  2. Haha! That G10 is anything but boring ;).

    Wow, looks great!

  5. Thanks Todd! The Rosewood is literally cut off the same block as yours...so this is a sort of accurate preview for you lol.

  6. Clever handle design with more surface area to showcase the grain too, Cris (as well as comfort, obviously ;)
    Like lots :)

  8. Well!! It's been a minute or two since I've updated here, lol. Soooooo, lets see what I've been up to shall we??

    First (and most recent!):

Meet 'Lupus' (come on now guys, it's named for the constellation, not the disease!!). 11/16, in Takefu V-Toku sanmai. I'm going to be selling this pattern (though not commonly in V-Toku lol...except as custom orders), and others directly through my web store. This one is actually currently available there. I've also brokered a deal with a great group of guys at Imperial La Roccia. They will be carrying my razors and knives on their site, and I will be carrying their literally magical strops (the cloth is the best material for a razor/knife strop I've ever touched), and their amazing razor finishing hones. I've currently got a batch of 13 of them in AEB-L going together for heat treat shortly (along with 17 of another surprise razor pattern!).

Anyway, on the razor...I've shaved with this one, and it's the best shave I've ever had...bar none. If I do say so myself.

On to the knives below ;).

  9. This little beastie is that 150mm x 50mm tall petty I had up for sale for a bit this past year. Handle material is a velvety koa, with brass, G10, and mammoth tooth.

    SUPER pleased with this one!

Cool to see you doing razors again. Looks good.

  11. Thank you Robert...I appreciate that. I actually have a box of some wood blanks sitting aside for you, and was going to toss some of that strop material in there for you. It really is amazing stuff.

  12. I thought I'd throw a few more in here as videos:

    230mm W2 Honyaki Gyuto

    160mm by 50mm AEB-L Tall Petty

240mm AEB-L XH Gyuto with my newest handle geometry. This one belongs to @MontezumaBoy lol.

260mm W2 Honyaki Gyuto with dyed maple and mammoth tooth.

120mm by 50mm W2 Honyaki Tall Petty. This one was water quenched ;).

There were a number of really great knives that went out over the last 5 months or so...but this should get you guys up to speed!!

    :D

  13. I know I owe you a review of that beauty!! Sorry but work, life, bs, etc. etc. etc. have gotten in the way ... I can say that I LOVE THIS KNIFE! Tip is insane, edge re-tension is superlative geometry is just fun, fun, fun ... Everyone I show it too wants it so I don't even let them touch it! Not even my boss ... err my Wife ... but she doesn't cook anyway!

I would just quit my job so I can write up the knife but SOMEONE had to go and POST THAT THEY ARE MAKING MORE OF THESE BEAUTIES! I wonder who that could be ... now, because of that person, I CAN'T QUIT ... so it's all your fault! Now I just need to find more $$$ really really trying to figure this out quickly since I know in a snap they will be gone, gone, gone ....

  14. LOL! Thank you my friend!!

As they say...I'm my own worst enemy :D :D :D!!

I'd still love to see your review though lol. Truly!
